Things to do in Takachiho Gorge

Joining the trip to Takachiho was definitely the best decision. Everything was very well prepared. Our guide, Daisy, was incredibly informative even a day before the trip. She managed the schedule well and made sure all participants felt comfortable. She also gave us great food recommendations in Fukuoka! hope you stay healthy and happy Daisy ☺️

The tour guide Kevin is very professional and the time is very accurate. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, with heavy fog and rain, so we couldn't see Mount Asu.

The most colorful scenes of "Firefly Forest" include Kumano Shrine, Aso, and Kurosan Onsen. The one-day care of tour guide Jimmy Yanagi and driver Yamane-san made people feel fulfilled and at ease. The shrine is sacred and remote, Aso is magnificent, and the foot bath in Kurosan Onsen is so hot and thick. Next time I have the chance, I will definitely buy another day tour itinerary, and I hope to meet tour guide Jimmy Liusang again.

The guide was really nice and made this tour a nice and easy going experience, she also gave us pdf with food places recommendations which is a nice bonus. the places we went were amazing! so unique views. also don't go these places alone! it is much more comfortable (2 hours less for arrival) and much more cheaper

I was originally worried about whether this trip would be good or not! It turned out that Hedy was a considerate tour guide. She arranged the time for the attractions in an easy way, so we didn’t feel rushed. She also handled any unexpected situations properly. We really liked and enjoyed this trip! The key point is... Hedy will also share Fukuoka delicacies with you... I will definitely buy it again next time!

This was a very well planned tour. We had plenty of time at Takachiho Gorge- I managed to walk around and do the boat with time left to spare. Having enough time at the gorge was my main concern as I wanted to make my boat reservation and walk around- lots of the other tours seemed to have limited time there so I chose this one and wasn’t disappointed. They make sure the gorge is the first stop on the itinerary which I appreciated because it takes a little while to get there and there were lots of tourists by the time we were done at the location. We also had plenty of time at the other attractions. Our guide Daisy was lovely and struck a nice balance between giving us information on the way and letting us roam as we want at the attractions. Highly recommend.
